Ethos
I truly believe in keeping the writer/artist at the center of their work, while offering feedback informed by years of writing, reading, and art-making. I will both reflect back what I see and give clear direction, working alongside you to provide tailored feedback.
With years of experience participating in many types of feedback groups—from performance art to academia—my feedback style will always be community-oriented, knowing the best art comes from deep listening. Deep listening is a value that guides every aspect of my approach to reading and critiquing writing, from my initial read-through to the final comments I leave you with.
Process
Whether you are in the ideation or the manuscript phase, you’ll receive dozens of observational comments, questions, and directional suggestions to help your work become a clearer and more powerful version of itself.
When you book the offering, you’ll receive an email confirmation that includes an email address, where you can send your work. If you choose to add on the additional 50-minute Zoom call, you’ll have the opportunity to schedule that through my Calendly, as early as the following week.
Depending on the length of the piece, I’ll provide feedback within 3-5 days.
I’d love to work with you!

Statement of good faith
I will thoughtfully engage with the aesthetic, social, theological, philosophical, and political world of the piece. I love complexity and welcome works-in-progress that grapple with challenging subjects. If I see insensitivities or things that could be harmful in your writing, I will comment on this directly. As a writer and artist, I am pro-liberation and anti-oppression. If I end up receiving a piece that actively advocates for any kind of -ism or hate, I will not work with you and you will not receive a refund.
My thoughts on AI
I will never use AI to provide feedback. I am absolutely committed to the idea that creative feedback means offering a human reaction to works of art, so I will always write from my own voice, and refer to my own experiences and expertise. I accept my human limitations, which is what fuels my love for reading and expanding my ability to think critically about works of art.
If I notice that part of a piece has been written by AI, I will call this out directly. I will not engage with work that is strictly AI-generated. I do welcome work that talks about or grapples with AI’s impact on the world. If you use AI-generated content critically (e.g., as an example or to make a point), I don’t have a problem engaging with it in that context!
Confidentiality
I will always respect your privacy and creative process. What you share with me will never go beyond the walls of our one-on-one working relationship.
